Okay, it's a self seating place and there were absolutely no places to sit or spaces to share. So, I got the order to go. I landed here while working an event in Capitola. It was just in the next city over. Order at the register. I ordered the Mad Chick, Spam & the Dirty Tots (I panic ordered!). Mad Chick & Spam were both fantastic. Dirty Tots were only okay - the tots were soggy & curry was overpowering. The sandwiches, I'd order again. The tots, no.

Hands down a must try in Santa Cruz. I was looking for somewhere to grab brunch, and the long lines told me everyone had the same plan! The wait is definitely worth it. The food is soooo good. I would definitely come back just to try out the other sandwiches. I got the BAE, Potato Balls and Lilokoi Green Tea. The staff were so nice and welcminjmg despite the busy rush they made sure that we were all good to go and answered any questions or requests.

Ok....the tastiest and messiest breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten! We got the classic and added bacon to ours with aioli on the side ( don't even miss it) Eggs are perfect, bacon is Smokey, and the brioche bun adds a hint of sweetness to the mix making it a wonderful experience all around. Buyer Beware: this is not a grab and eat on your way to work sandwich, it is a sit and savor sandwich. If you want to split one (like we did) don't attempt to cut it in half, get cozy with your friend and just take bites . So worth it!

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat for lunch in the area, and came across this place on Yelp! Upon arriving, we had such a warm welcome from one of the workers. She was very friendly and approachable when asking about anything on the menu. She even had a few recommendations. I ordered the Avo & Tomato sandwich and the Mango Green Tea to-go to eat at the beach. The sandwich was warm & soft, I enjoyed every bite! The green tea was very refreshing, but since it was blended it separated quite fast. I love the interior of the place, it was so colorful and decorated with a lot of egg themed things! It also looks like a nice place to chill at with a friend to chat, study, or catch up on some work. I would love to visit Mad Yolks again when I come back to Santa Cruz

This place is so good!! Love that they have a lot of vegetarian options. Employees were all really nice, the place was packed and the line was long and we still got our order in under ten minutes.

3.5, rounding up because the staff was really nice. Sandwiches were solid and the matcha sunriseger (matcha and OJ) was super refreshing and earthy, but not bitter. Potato balls are a must!

WOW. This spot was delicious and I'm craving some as I write this review. We were in the area for vacation and wanted a quick breakfast. We had something similar back in LA (Egg Slut and Egg Bred) so we wanted to try it. Food and service was quick and amazing. I would even say up to par or even slightly better than what I've had in the past. The sandwich buns were soft, fluffy, and buttery. The amount of egg and avocado were generous. The loco moco portions were huge and they do it right here! Tater tots were crispy and fresh. We had lots of tots leftover haha. They have some outdoor seating and the inside was clean and spacious. Will definitely be back!

We saw a huge line for this place, and for a good reason. I'm usually skeptical of breakfast places because let's face it, you can't really make eggs that delicious. But boy was I wrong, the soft scrambled egg was so good, and combined with the other items like patty/bacon, this was probably the best breakfasts sandwich I've ever had

Came in for lunch and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We were served right away. The server was very nice. We got the food to go, so I didn't have time to check restrooms, etc. We ordered the classic & bello sandwiches with the orange & pineapple juice. These sandwiches were spectacular! I did like the classic sandwich better. I will be back to try other sandwiches! Total cost: $35
